by Sylene Argent --- The sun was warm, the water was frigid, but that did not stop around 200 people from stripping down to their swimsuits (or briefs) and plunging into the water at Cedar Island Beach in Kingsville to raise money for the Childcan and Youth & Family Resource Network organizations. Marianne Hebb, Executive Director of Childcan, said the Polar Bear Dip event has been held for the past 10 years and is one of the major fundraisers for both organizations.
